BURLEY.NEW FOREST PRAIRIE PLANTING.
Drifts of grasses and long-flowering perennials create a natural, relaxed atmosphere, with planting designed to evolve through the seasons rather than peak briefly. The garden takes its cues from meadow and prairie plants, adapted carefully to the conditions and character of a New Forest setting.
Gravel paths with timber edging divide the large planting beds, allowing movement through the garden while framing key views and moments of interest. Planting was selected for resilience and wildlife value, with a focus on plants that offer changing colour, texture, and structure from early summer through to late autumn.
